我们很高兴通过佛蒙特英国斗牛犬救援机构收养我们。我们家有了新成员，真是太开心了!救援人员非常关心这些狗和它们的新家庭是否能很好地匹配。

我们对VEBR有一段很棒的经历。我们收养了一只年长的狗，它来的时候有一些健康问题。他们为她提供了良好的医疗护理，并在收养前给了我们完整、准确的医疗记录。领养费用并不便宜，但我们可爱的女儿物有所值。我不能再推荐VEBR了。

从伟大到不那么伟大。这是我们的真实经历。2020年7月决定收养另一只狗，刚刚失去了我们14岁的拉布拉多。当我们在工作时，我们2岁大的约克犬看起来很沮丧/孤独。VEBR很快就回复了我，我采用了b4，所以我知道演习/一切都进展得很快。我给米歇尔发了电子邮件，然后在电话里谈到了Dozer, 1岁的雄性实验室混合犬。米歇尔非常好，非常友好/了解Dozer所经历的一切。去威利斯顿见道泽，并带他回家。我们见到了米歇尔的妻子，我想她的名字叫凯伦。她很好，但似乎有点冷，后来发现别人也有这样的感觉。 We found it rude/odd that she counted the cash in front of us, like we’re sketchy? $550 is a lot to rescue a dog! Michelle said another couple met Dozer but said he had too much energy. We did not see that at the house in Williston b4 we took him home & did not see any energy at all over the next several days. Karen gave us his paperwork, goes on to say he's had loose stool and to give him these pills from the vet. He had been vet checked in TX & then again in VT after a 3 day transport. We picked him up on a Thursday. Over the next few days he had low energy, didn't eat much & was lethargic. On Monday I email Michelle about how Dozer is doing. We both think maybe he just needs time to settle from 3 day transport & shuffling around from the rescue to foster home & back, all in just a few days of being in VT. We give him a few days, things just get worse & worse. Won't eat, runny nose w/green mucus, NO energy at all! Worst of all, our Yorkipoo started coughing and getting sick!!!! I started to get REALLY upset. My hubs brings Dozer to our Vet the following Friday, only had him for a week now. His temp was 105, our vet said rush him up to BEV's (emergency Vet), they thought maybe it was Parvo! I flipped out! I know how bad Parvo is! I email Michelle, understandably SUPER upset. My hubs sat at Bev's for 6hrs only for them to keep Dozer overnight. I didn't hear back from anyone @VEBR until the owner, Dawna, called me later that evening. Her first words were "Wow your email was really harsh". I had mentioned that I should have done more research about VEBR & that I see tons of bad reviews online now. But it really wasn't THAT harsh. I was justifiably upset! Just paid $550 for an EXTREMELY sick dog. BEV's said he’s got pneumonia, don't know why, maybe untreated kennel cough. All I ask Dawna is if they would be willing to put some of the profit from the $550 towards his $2k bill at BEV’s. She says “there is no profit, most dogs they rescue they lose money” then says things like "you should have pet insurance” &” if it was MY dog I would have brought him to vet sooner". First off, we didn’t have time to get the insurance, waited for vet since Michelle & I thought he was settling from transport. I said not everyone can afford to spend $2k for a dog, most people would give the dog back or have to put it down. Her reply “Oh for God Sakes no one is putting a dog down over distemper”. Seriously, not everyone can afford something like that to happen! Dawna said she would do some research, talk to the vets & TX rescue. Then I get a text, Dawna telling me to get Dozer tested for Distemper, that a litter of pups ON SAME TRANSPORT tested positive. She says this has NEVER happened b4 (hard to believe)& she’s SO sorry. She says if I bring him to HER vet she’ll cover the bill. I speak to her vet, Dozer was vacc for distemper so we don't bother. Bev’s gave him antibiotic that helped some. Bring our Yorkipoo to our vet they prescribe Doxycycline for being exposed to Dozer, she gets better fast. Then another text from Dawna saying have him tested for Mycoplasma/get doxycycline, another dog, tested positive for it. Now there’s 2 cases on the same transport! But says "we don't know he got it on transport!" REALLY??! We get the doxy & treat him for 8 weeks. He is full of energy now! And still NOTHING from VEBR. Not even a real apology. I lost my job that I loved 4 missing a week of work to take care of Dozer.

对于这次救援，我说什么都不为过!从我第一次询问收养问题到现在，我们一直和他们有联系。当我去看我们的狗狗时，正值新冠肺炎中期，所有的预防措施都采取了。我们尽量远离社交，总是戴着面具。我尽可能多地花时间和汤米在一起，以确保他是我们家的最佳人选。自从把他带回家后，他们已经登记了很多次，我甚至还派了一个和汤米的“姐妹”完全匹配的人来。我很高兴我们找到了它们，如果我们决定再添一个毛皮宝宝，一定会先和它们联系!

我对多娜以及她和所有志愿者所做的伟大工作感激不尽。我们从她那里收养了斗牛犬，它是我们家最伟大的成员。Dawna和她的整个团伙都是天使隐藏的翅膀❤️❤️❤️我想更新我的帖子6个月后..Chumley仍然是我们梦寐以求的斗牛犬。他是我们最好的朋友!道娜，谢谢你救了这个宝贝孩子给了我们机会给他一个充满爱的家。你的救援是一个了不起的组织，我们一直向大家推荐!!谢谢你！

每一次救援都值得称赞，因为人们希望救援组织的初衷是正确的……然而，Dawna(创始人)似乎是为了钱，如果不是更多的话，她是为了拯救狗狗的行为……
