The coupons now clearly stated $40 maximum discount, meaning to any logical person you can receive up to $40 off of any purchase. Well when I went to book the appointment a groomer set everything up and I asked her about the coupon and told her I still had my receit from before to prove that I didn't receive the correct discount, could I receive it this time, she told me she didn't know. I did see the same sales clerk as before standing behind something listening but not coming over to help. I figured I'd handle it this morning before the grooming began. I walked in and began to talk to the same sales clerk as before, and as I was trying to ask her about it, she instructed my sister to take my cat back to the groomers area because she had a dog in the front of the store. I began discussing the coupon and she told me again it was a $10 discount for both! I told her I wanted to speak with the owner. She made the phone call for me and the owner told me that she had changed the wording on the coupons because she had received complaints similar to mine. I told her that unless she had re-worded them again since September that they were false advertising. She said she had just re-worded them this week. I asked her to honor what the coupon stated and she said no, that she would not because she couldn't run her store if she gave everything away for free. I told her I didn't want the grooming for free I wanted to pay for it but I wanted the discount as stated in the coupon she put out. She again refused stating that 98% of customers understand what it means, I told her clearly she has other customers who don't understand if she just changed the wording again because of them. She told me she has four different printing companies that all understand the wording. Kind of hilarious since the printing companies are not the customers and I told her she pays the printing companies they don't care how she words it! She asked me why I allowed one cat to be groomed when I already knew that they gave the $10 discount not the 25% and I said because the woman at the front desk instructed the cat to be taken to the back and the groomer did not know not to start on him until the situation was handled. She had no response. When I told her I didn't want to argue, that I would pay for the one cat and not be bringing the 2nd in, and I'd be leaving reviews on yelp and other sites. She claimed she tries to keep her customers happy and that she'd give me the $10 off! I told her I just wanted her to honor what her coupon stated and again she refused. I paid for the one cat, came home and hopped on the computer to hopefully give all of you a heads up! The groomers are great! The girl was super friendly and did a great job with my cat, I wish she did work on the side because I'd definitely hire her. I just have no desire to give my business to such a deceitful and difficult owner!
